Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Are you a good fit for Life Coaching?
Like everything in life you are the best person to decide if a life coach would be helpful or harmful for you, it all depends on your goals, expectations and state of mind. Below I have listed a few reasons why a life coach may not be beneficial for me – there might be others.
POTENTIAL REASONS WHY LIFE COACHING WILL NOT BE BENEFICIAL:
- Wanting a “quick fix”. Life coaching is made up of many processes tailored to meet your specific needs and goals to be achieve. Life
coaching takes time and commitment in order to see results. So if you are looking for an instant transformation, let me tell you right now that there is no such thing – it would not happen overnight. - You have a mental health problem. Life coaches are not therapists, psychologists, or psychiatrists they cannot help with these issues and clients should seek the help of their medical providers.
- You are a perfectionist, not a bit of a perfectionist, but a perfectionist to the point that it interferes with your everyday life, if so life coaching might hurt instead of heal. Perfectionists most times suffer from procrastination and fear, thinking that what they have created is never the best, is never good as they think it would be. Thus having a life coach which is an accountable partner would be something that they might find hard to cope with, they might feel more high pressured or stressed to accomplish their perfection.
